The Twits - By Roald Dahl

With September 13th being Roald Dahl day we were given copies of Twits to review and a challenge to create our own stinky Mr Twit beard. We have already read all the Roald Dahl books and have our own little collection but it was lovely to revisit The Twits especially with these two new fun versions of the book being released. This post is finding it's way to you a little bit delayed but as you can see we had lots of fun getting involved!

Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl (1916–1990) was one of the world’s most imaginative, successful and loved storytellers. Since his death, his work has not only endured but is still increasing in popularity. Most book lover will remember his stories such as Charlie and the chocolate factory, Matilda, Fantastic Mr Fox, The BFG and many many more. Since his death, his work has not only endured but is still increasing in popularity. You can find out lots more about Roald Dahl and his weird and wonderful story characters on the Roald Dahl website.

The Blurb

Mr Twit is a foul and smelly
man with bits of
cornflake and sardine
in his beard
Mrs Twit is a horrible old hag
with a glass eye.
They've kept muggle-wamp the Monkey and
his family caged in the garden for far too long, and now
the monkeys want to take their REVENGE...

The Twits Review

As you can see from the picture we received the two latest versions of The Twits books. One as a hard back cover with touchy feely beard on the front and the other a paper back book with free scratch 'n' sniff stickers inside. I have to warn you the stickers do actually small awful just like Mr Twits stinky beard! Both books are fantastic and any Roald Dahl fan young or old would love them. We did have so much fun playing with the scratch 'n' sniff stickers. Here's the girls beard they made whilst using the stickers.
The scratch 'n' sniff smelt awful!

Our favourite part of the book is when Mr Twit sends Mrs Twit up into the sky with 100 balloons tied to her, enough to send her to moon! It was hilarious when Mrs Twit realised what Mr Twit had done to her and starting popping the balloons to come back down. When she got back down she landed on top of Mr Twit and then started to lash out with her stick and cracks him with it all over his body. We laughed loads when Mrs Twit called Mr Twit a filthy old frumpet!.

You can also get your hands on a free game called Twit or Miss by going to via the App store, Google Play or !!
Thanks for reading and don't forget to leave your comments below. Are you a Roald Dahl fan? What's your favourite?
* We received a free copy of the book for the purpose of this review. Are opinions are 100% honest.
