BAKER DAYS LETTER BOX CAKE REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

Baker Days Letter Box Cake

Review & Giveaway

Keep calm and eat cake!! There's no other way to get through a difficult day then to have lovely cuppa coffee and a scrummy bit of cake to with it, well for me any way. So when I was offered to try out one of these super cute letter box cakes from Baker Days the answer was obviously yes!

Letter box cakes were completely new to me it's not something I'd thought of before, sending a cake through the post does sound a little impractical doesn't it? I needed to see it for my self that a cake could be sent through mail and arrive in one piece but we'll get to that.

Baker days offer personalised cakes for various celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, good luck cakes or for no reason cakes. There is literally a cake for every kind of celebration. The cakes come in various sizes and you can select your own fillings too. The letter box cake we received here in the picture was a 5 inch cake (12cm x 2.5cm). You can completely personalise your cake with your photos or choose from one of the fun designs on the website including popular characters and celebrities. You are also able to personalise you message for your cake. We choose to go with a family themed cake as we didn't have any immediate celebrations. We chose one of our fave photos and added the TwoPlusFourWalkers message and we got to choose the stars too. As you can see it turned out pretty good.

The cake arrived really quickly. It came in a letter box shaped cardboard box which didn't feel too heavy. Inside the box was a gorgeous tin that said 'just for you' with some small ventilation holes for keeping the cake fresh. We also received a small packet of sweets and a card should we be gifting the cake to some one. The cake was perfectly packaged, really safe and secure and in perfect condition. The cake it self tasted fab and me and the kids polished it off in minutes. They found it very amusing eating their own faces! I think these cakes are an amazing fun and a quirky way to celebrate with friends, family and any recipient would as chuffed with it as we were with ours.

You can check out the funky letter box cakes on the Baker Days website. You can also find Baker days on Facebook and Twitter.
