Opal Plumstead Review and Giveaway By Jacqueline Wilson

From The Blurb

Dear Father,

Oh it's hateful to think of you in your prison cell, all alone!
We miss you terribly. Pleas don't blame yourself for what happened.
You mustn't worry bout us. I promise to take care of Mother and Cassie. I have left school, and now work at the Fairy Glen sweet factory. It was so hard to give up my scholarship, and some of the girls here are horrid - but I quickly showed them that although I'm little, I'm also fiery!
And Mrs Roberts, the factory owner, is wonderful. She is a suffragette- and I'm going to be one too.
Your loving daughter

What we thought!

Eleesha was really excited to get stuck into this latest adventure from Jacqueline Wilson following as she is a big fan. Her favourites include Bad girls and Sleep overs . Eleesha loves Opal Plumsteads adventurous spirit courage. She loves how Opal's family are really poor and can't afford much but when her dad's book gets published and they start to get lots of money and they can finally afford to buy nice things. From a mums perspective I felt that there were some slightly older content in the book than I would have expected and for that reason I would recommend this book for slightly older readers, or to be read with an adult as there maybe be some questions asked due to the slightly sexual nature in some parts. Don't let this put you off though this book is particularly perfect for teens and mature pre teens!
